Hello,

F5 is looking for an entry level Perl developer for a test
automation position.

The officiel requirements are:
F5 Networks - Advanced R&D Technology Center - Tel-Aviv

Position Summary
.    Develop automation infrastructure for testing of new
network based Application Delivery Networking products.
.    This includes developing automated tests infrastructure
and implementing tests cases under the infrastructure when
needed.

Responsibilities
.    Participating in the development of test automation
infrastructure
.    Developing automated tests and writing tools
.    Researching and filing change requests for the key F5.s
products

Qualifications
.   Experience with at least one of the following scripting
languages: Perl, Python, PHP or Tcl/tk is required. (Perl is
strongly preferred.)
.    Experience with development in a linux/unix environment
strongly preferred.
.    Networking experience with TCP/IP, HTTP is strongly
preferred.
.    Development/testing of Firewalls, Proxies is a plus.
.    Experience with test automation is a plus.
.    Experience with network programming with C/C++, or Java
is a plus.
.    Experience with RPC frameworks (Thrift, REST) is a
plus.

However, if you are OK with basic Perl programming and want
to learn more -- you'll do OK. You'll be expected to be able
to write some Perl code during the interview.

The required Networking knowledge is along the lines of:
     * Understanding the TCP,UDP, HTTP protocols and their  main components function. (rfc675, rfc768, rfc2616)
     * Understanding of the network topology and it's key players function. (switch, router, gateway, dhcp, dns, proxies, firewall, vlan)
     * Understanding the major software testing methodologies (Black Box, White Box, Functional Testing, Unit Testing, System Testing, ... etc)
