I use these parameters:

makepl_arg         [PREFIX=~/perl5lib LIB=~/perl5lib/lib]
mbuildpl_arg       [--install_base /home/gabor/perl5lib --install_path
lib=/home/gabor/perl5lib/lib]

and I think it works well
