You misunderstood me.
I wasn't expecting to output ANYTHING:
I wasn't expecting it to output stuff related to 'item'
because I was supposed to handle it myself in the handler
and chose to leave the handler empty.
I wasn't expecting it to output anything else because
twig_print_outside_roots => 0.

Still -- I got a part of the XML.

Why?
